Pet Wellness
Spay & Neuter
The Rancho Cucamonga Animal Center offers spay and neuter vouchers for cats and dogs that reside in Rancho Cucamonga. Vouchers, $100 for cats and $200 for dogs, can be used to offset the cost of surgery at participating veterinarians. To obtain a voucher, license your pet as a spayed or neutered animal using the licensing button above. Next, email Field.Services@cityofrc.us with your contact information and request to obtain a voucher. Please note that it may take five to ten business days to process the animal license application and voucher request. Vouchers will be emailed to you once processed.
Microchip Your Pet
The Rancho Cucamonga Animal Center offers microchipping services by appointment only. For an appointment call 909-466-7387.
Surrendering Your Pet
We understand that life changes may result in having to rehome a family pet. We accept owner surrendered pets that belong to residents of Rancho Cucamonga. We also accept the surrender of pets that were previously adopted from our Animal Center. Both services are by appointment only.
Vaccination Services
VetCare Vaccination Services hosts a low-cost vaccine clinic at the Animal Center every weekend, rain or shine. Please visit their website for fees and hours. Note: Services are currently Drive Thru.

We have heard concerns about our reduced adoption hours. Our goal is to expand hours as resources allow. Until then, we feel it’s important to share information and the why’s of where we are today.

The goal of the Field Services Division is to promptly and professionally assist the citizens of Rancho Cucamonga with a wide variety of services relating to the care and control of animals. Field Services can be reached at (909) 466-7387 ext. 1.

Living With Coyotes
The Rancho Cucamonga Animal Center will assist residents with tips on humanely co-existing with coyotes. We will also respond to coyotes that are sick, injured, or are determined to be a public safety risk. The RC Animal Center is prohibited from trapping and relocating coyotes. Contact Field Services at (909)466-7387 ext. 1 for more information or assistance.
Keep Me Wild - Coyotes
Coyotes are smart adaptable canines that have learned to live comfortably along side people in residential neighborhoods. Coyotes play an important role in the ecosystem, helping to keep rodent populations under control. Relocating a problem coyote is not an option. You can help prevent human-coyote conflicts.
Coyote Hazing
Hazing is a method that uses deterrents to move an animal out of an area or discourages an undesirable behavior or activity. Hazing can help maintain coyotes’ fear of humans and deter them from neighborhood spaces such as backyards and playgrounds.

Bats
Rancho Cucamonga is home to a variety of wildlife species, including bats. While bats are beneficial to our ecosystem they can carry rabies, a fatal disease. Be Bat Smart! Never touch or approach a bat.

The northern part of our City is home to the California Black Bear. Learn more on how you can bear proof your yard and co-exist with our wild neighbors.
